Mary Anne Alvin currently serves as the Critical Minerals Processing RDD&D Program Manager at the Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (DOE FECM). She previously served as the Rare Earth Element (REE) Technology Manager at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). Prior to joining NETL, Ms. Alvin was employed at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation and at Siemens Westinghouse Power Generation, working in the area of advanced energy systems. As a Fellow Scientist, she was internationally recognized for her contributions in the area of high temperature porous ceramic materials, ceramic matrix composites, intermetallics, advanced alloys and metal media for components used in the electric power generation industry. She holds twenty-eight patents. Most recently, Ms. Alvin served as Co-Editor for the book Rare Earth Metals and Minerals Industries – Status and Prospects published by Springer in December 2023.

Wesley Alexander Hill Ph.D. [ABD] is the Lead Analyst and International Program Manager for the Energy, Growth, and Security Program at the International Tax and Investment Center. He focuses on the geopolitics and geoeconomics with special focuses on Chinese energy policy, and Chinese influence in the S. Caucasus and Central Asia. Wesley is a former CLFP fellow at NBR, and conducted research at Beijing's Tsinghua University and Taipei's National Normal University. Wesley graduated from Tulane University.
