The 710-mile-long Tiete River is one of the most important waterways in Brazil and crosses through the state of Sao Paulo. Every year, more than 353 thousand tons of sediment is deposited in the river. Given its relevance as a key watercourse and a natural drainage system, Sao Paulo wants to recruit U.S. companies that provide drainage and river clean-up services and technologies to enter this market and become a supplier to the Tiete River Project.
The economy of the State of Sao Paulo is the largest in Brazil, with a USD 484.6 billion GDP as of 2020. If it were a country, its economy would be the 21st largest in the world.
