Is your institution looking to build reliable contacts for international student recruitment in Sub-Saharan Africa? Are you an education recruitment agent, high school counselor, or university in Sub-Saharan Africa wishing to connect with U.S. higher education institutions? The USA: A Study Destination Virtual Connection Program - Sub-Saharan Africa, taking place January 22-25, 2024 will allow U.S. academic institutions to meet one-on-one with education recruitment agents, high school counselors, potential partner universities, and government officials in seven markets in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. The U.S. Commercial Service has offices in the following countries and is actively promoting participation in this program: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, and Tanzania.
Sub-Saharan Africa consists of 49 countries and is in the process of integrating into the world's largest free trade area. The region presents real opportunity for U.S. educational institutions, encompassing a combined market population of over 1 billion people and GDP of more than $1.5 trillion. Rapid population and GDP growth will only increase this opportunity in the future, as the region is home to some of the fastest growing economies in the world.
Participants will be able to schedule 40-minute one-on-one meetings during the week of January 22-25, 2024. Meetings will take place on the My Business Matches platform.
