On January 23, 2025 at 11 AM EST we invite you to join the webinar on Doing Business in Costa Rica and Guatemala where the U.S. Commercial Service will share insights and strategies for navigating opportunities in both countries.  During the webinar, SelectFlorida will provide details about the upcoming Export Sales Mission to San Jose, Costa Rica and Guatemala City, Guatemala, and discuss participation requirements for Florida companies.  During the Trade Mission, Florida companies can participate in pre-screened one-on-one “Gold Key” meetings with local companies interested in their product line, coordinated by the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS).

General Information

Costa Rica’s proximity to the United States and the benefits of the CAFTA-DR Free Trade Agreement are critical in helping facilitate U.S. exports. With Caribbean ports of entry, U.S. exporters can typically ship products from Florida to Costa Rica in less than a week. Guatemala’s economy is the largest in Central America, and the macroeconomic situation in the country remains solid. As a signatory member of CAFTA-DR, Guatemalan importers and business representatives of U.S. products obtain CAFTA-DR benefits for their products when conducting business with the United States.
