Mayumi D. Brewster
Survey Statistician, Data User and Trade Outreach Branch Economic Management Division, U.S. Census Bureau
Ms. Mayumi Brewster embarked upon her career in the International Trade Management Division (ITMD) formerly known as Governments and Trade Management Division (GTMD) at the U.S. Census Bureau in 2015 as a Survey Statistician. She began working in the Data User and Trade Outreach Branch (DUTOB) coordinating and facilitating a number of webinars and Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) exports compliance seminars in support of the ongoing outreach efforts to the export trade community. In addition, Ms. Brewster continues to provide guidance to exporters requiring ACE export reports access through the Census Bureau’s verification process.
In DUTOB, one of her key contributions was creating export reports training resources for both beginner and advanced users. She worked directly with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and provided a thorough presentation that discussed various features within the ACE export reports application. In just 5 years of serving within this capacity, Ms. Brewster has trained thousands in utilizing the export reports feature. She is enthusiastic about serving the export trade community both in-person and virtual training and improving outreach efforts that lead to higher productivity and competitiveness.
Ms. Brewster has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Undergraduate Certificate in Management Foundations and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland, University College.
Eric Gauthier
Economic Management Division Trade Data Collection Branch, U.S. Census Bureau
Eric Gauthier is supervisor of the AESDirect Team in the Trade Data Collection Branch. His efforts include determining, reviewing, and coordinating the requirements to maintain and improve the AESDirect application according to the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) and the requirements from other partnership government agencies (PGAs). He is also part of the Compliance Seminar team, presenting to the trade community about how to follow the FTR and the AES compliance practices. He also conducts these presentations in Spanish.
Mr. Gauthier led the testing, outreach, and training initiatives related to the transition of the legacy AESDirect applications into the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). His contributions to the release of the new system made him worthy of receiving the U.S. Department of Commerce Gold Medal, the Department’s highest distinction.
Jessica Mangubat
Economic Management Division, U.S. Census Bureau
Ms. Jessica Mangubat is a Supervisor in the Trade Regulations Branch (TRB) within the Economic Management Division at the U.S. Census Bureau. Ms. Mangubat joined the U.S. Census Bureau in 2016. In her current role as a Supervisor in the TRB, she participates in regulatory writing, answers regulatory questions posed by the trade community, and develops marketing and outreach materials aimed at improving regulatory knowledge of the trade community. Ms. Mangubat also processes and assists staff with processing Voluntary Self-Disclosures submitted by the trade related to suspected violations of the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) and National Interest Determinations for federal agencies that seek export data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Ms. Mangubat also processes international trade data agreements between the U.S. Census Bureau and other federal agencies. Ms. Mangubat participates in conferences and seminars held by the U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and trade associations to promote the FTR and electronic filing of export information via the Automated Export System.
Ms. Mangubat earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Towson University and Master of Arts degree in Applied Sociology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Carroll Camacho
Survey Statistician in Economic Census of Island Areas at U.S. Census Bureau
Caroll Camacho se unió a la Oficina del Censo de EUA en Agosto de 2008 como estadístico de encuestas para el Censo Económico de Áreas Insulares. Durante ese tiempo, recopiló y analizó estadísticas sobre aproximadamente 50,000 establecimientos comerciales en industrias que operan en Puerto Rico, Samoa Americana, el Estado Libre Asociado de las Islas Marianas del Norte, las Islas Vírgenes de los Estados Unidos y Guam. En 2011 se incorporó a la Subdivisión de Microanálisis del Comercio Internacional de la División de Indicadores Económicos. Durante ese tiempo, proceso datos de exportación relacionados con artículos diversos para la Encuesta FT-900, que incluye los Capítulos 90 a 98 del HS. Además de procesar datos de exportación, la Sra. Camacho también es parte del equipo del Seminario de Cumplimiento, presentando sobre la clasificación de productos básicos de exportación a la comunidad comercial. Realiza estas presentaciones en español e inglés.
La Sra. Camacho tiene una licenciatura en Administración de Empresas de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Una maestría en Negocios Internacionales de la Universidad de Phoenix, un certificado de maestría en Gestión de Proyectos de la Universidad George Washington y un certificado de posgrado en Liderazgo y Gestión del Campus Global de la Universidad de Maryland.
Clara E. Santiago Bello
Statistics Supervisor at U.S. Census Bureau
Clara E. Santiago Bello tiene más de 25 anos de experiencia trabajando con la recopilación de data de exportaciones e importaciones, Foreign Trade Regulations y el Automated Export System. Se unió al Buro de Censo en 1993 como Mecanógrafa y ha sido supervisora de la oficina local desde el 2005.
Clara provee entrenamiento sobre Regulaciones de Comercio Exterior, Entorno Comercial Automatizado (AES), Clasificación de Productos Básicos, Covid-19 Hub, entre otras páginas web del Buro de Censo en Inglés y Español.
Clara recibió su licenciatura en Comunicación Pública de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, una maestría en Administración Pública de la Universidad de Puerto Rico y una maestría en Divinidad del Seminario Evangélico de Puerto Rico. Clara reside en Carolina, Puerto Rico, con su esposo John Bello y Mac, un Jack Russell hiperactivo.
Marijulie Martinez Lozano
Strategic and Portfolio Management Office of the Economic Directorate - U.S. Census Bureau
Marijulie Martínez Lozano es estadística de encuestas de la Oficina de Gestión Estratégica y de Cartera de la Dirección Económica. Tiene una Maestría en Bioestadística, un Doctorado en Salud Pública con concentración en Epidemiología y está certificada como especialista en Salud Pública. Antes de unirse al Censo de EUA, trabajó en los Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades (CDC) como epidemióloga realizando análisis y visualizaciones de datos para diferentes proyectos de investigación. También está certificada como científica de datos y enseña a estudiantes universitarios y profesores cómo utilizar el programa R Studio para realizar estadísticas para sus proyectos individuales.

Sandra Donzella
Deputy Managing Director – Western Region Export-Import Bank of the United States
Sandra Donzella es la Directora General Adjunta de la Oficina Regional Occidental del Export-Import Bank de los Estados Unidos (“EXIM”). En su función, es responsable de apoyar el desarrollo empresarial y los esfuerzos de extensión a exportadores, prestamistas y organizaciones asociadas en la Región Occidental del país.
Sandra se unió a EXIM Bank en 2001 después de pasar casi una década en Banca Internacional, donde se especializó en Financiamiento del Comercio y trabajó directamente con los programas de EXIM. También ha estado involucrada en asignaciones temporales en la División de Seguro de Crédito Comercial de EXIM como Gerente de Cartera y Aseguradora para la Región Occidental.
Sandra tiene su sede en San Diego en las oficinas del Servicio Comercial de EUA. Nació en Chile, se mudó a los Estados Unidos en 1980 y se convirtió en ciudadana estadounidense en 1992. Recibió un B.A. Licenciada en Economía por la Universidad de Connecticut en 1991.
Saul R. Newsome
Attorney at Newsome International Law, LLC
A Saúl le apasiona el Derecho Internacional. Desde su creación del grupo de práctica de derecho internacional en Breazeale, Sachse, and Wilson, LLP, una de las firmas de abogados más antiguas de Luisiana, Saul ha asesorado a empresas sobre incentivos comerciales y de inversión tanto a nivel local como en el extranjero. Saul ha asesorado a clientes sobre importación, exportación, regímenes de sanciones y ha ayudado a clientes en la búsqueda de fabricación en el extranjero, acuerdos de licencia, acuerdos de ventas y otros proyectos comerciales. Saul ha asesorado sobre inversiones extranjeras y regulaciones comerciales en los Estados Unidos, incluidas solicitudes al Comité de Inversiones Extranjeras en los Estados Unidos (CFIUS), regulaciones de exportación y antiboicot (EAR), regulaciones de tráfico internacional de armas (ITAR), anti -soborno (FCPA), regulaciones de control de activos (OFAC) y regulaciones aduaneras. Saul también liberó con éxito activos y transacciones que estaban congeladas incorrectamente bajo la regulación de control de activos extranjeros y participó en reuniones bilaterales oficiales con gobiernos extranjeros.
Saul obtuvo su Maestría en Derecho (LLM) en Derecho de Seguridad Nacional de la Universidad de Georgetown en Washington, D.C. También tiene un Doctorado en Derecho en Derecho Civil de la Universidad Estatal de Luisiana en Baton Rouge, LA y su Licenciatura en Estudios Internacionales y Estudios Modernos.
