Are you interested in an excellent opportunity to promote your Emergency Management Solutions to buyers, distributors and emergency management procurement officials in Canada?
Why Canada?
Canada experiences frequent natural disasters, such as wildfires and floods. These occurrences are anticipated to become more frequent due to Canada's changing climate. The warmer climate is set to amplify extreme weather events and intensify heatwaves, contributing to the increase in wildfires. In Canada, the expenses of responding to wildfires have surged by approximately US$ 110 million per decade since 1970. Wildfires have disrupted oil and gas operations, reduced timber harvests, negatively impacted the tourism industry, and imposed immense costs on the national healthcare system. Additionally, precipitation is projected to increase for most of Canada and there has been a shift toward less snowfall and more rainfall and is expected to impose a financial burden of over US$ 30 billion on the Canadian economy leading up to 2050.
The Canadian federal and provincial governments have committed more funds and have invested in new initiatives to prevent and combat wildfires and floods. According to Public Safety Canada, emergency and disaster management expenditures increased by US$ 167 million in 2022, a 60% increase from the previous year. Projections indicate that these expenditures are set to increase by more than fourfold by the end of 2023. The Canadian government's renewed goal to find safe and innovative ways of addressing wildfires and floods, combined with the world's largest and most comprehensive trading relationship which represents a US$ 915 billion bilateral trade relationship, offers substantial opportunities for equipment and service providers to enter or expand in the market.
