A decorated active-duty veteran of the U.S. Air Force, who holds a BBA with an emphasis in Finance, Brian has over 25 years of private and public sector experience. He has held supervisory positions in the U.S. Air Force and within the aerospace and defense industries as an operations manager and accounting manager. Later Brian earned his Registered Investment Representative Designations (FINRA Series: 7, 63, 65) and managed multi-million-dollar portfolios for his accredited investor clientele.
Before joining the U.S. Commercial Service Northern New Jersey Office, he was a career service employee with the U.S. Department of State, United States Mission to the United Nations. His areas of focus were Diplomacy and National Security, and his clientele were the members of the Foreign UN Missions and Consular Corp. He is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Franklin Award for his distinguished service as a public servant.
With U.S. Commercial Service, Brian is currently the Deputy Director for the Global Finance Team. He has executed over 60 fundraising trade missions for the U.S. private equity and venture capital space. He is also a Co-Founder and Deputy Team Leader for the VetsGoGlobal initiative, which connects the Veteran Business Ecosystem to global markets. To add he is a Co-Creator for Export Week, a national initiative, and the Disaster Resilience multi-sector initiative. Brian is a multiple recipient of the ITA Star Award, and Special Act Award.
Brian currently lives in Hudson County, New Jersey with his wife, Dr. Vivian Ng and their three-year-old son Chester. He enjoys reading books on psychology, sociology, military history, and earth and space sciences. His favorite color is green. Brian is an active member and volunteer with the New Jersey Wildlife Conservation Corp. He enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, and golfing whenever possible.
As Customer Retention & Development Manager for UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Horacio is responsible for leading a multi-national team of Customs Brokerage Program Managers tasked with Customer strategy alignment and leading initiatives. Horacio has 20 years of experience in transportation, logistics and Customs brokerage in multiple countries across the globe. Horacio has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Tec de Monterrey, Chihuahua, Mexico and is a US Licensed Customs Broker since 2017.
Jim Trubits has over 40 years of knowledge in Free Trade Agreements, Customs compliance, logistics, and supply chain management. His experience encompasses courier, sea, air, and northern border operations. He is a Licensed Customs Broker and a Certified Customs Specialist.
Kelly is COO of Blue Tiger International, a premier leading supply chain management consulting company located in New York. Kelly is a licensed customhouse broker and trade compliance specialist working for numerous companies assisting them in managing their supply chain, import and export trade activities. Kelly also owns a Company called DragonFly Global, a 100% woman owned entity working with corporate America where diversity is a necessary focus on the delivery of her and her associated business services. Kelly is a specialist in both import and export compliance, logistics, purchasing, global sourcing and supply chain management. Many companies depend upon her expertise in facilitating their export sales or import purchasing from an operational perspective. Kelly is a frequent lecturer on compliance and logistics and is a published author, of Mastering Import & Export Management, AMACOM Books Third Edition. She has worked with numerous organizations and universities in teaching, lecturing, and creating programs on global supply chain, trade compliance management and import and export operations namely, but not limited to: NCBFAA, AFA, LIFT, AMA, APPA, ISM, CSCMP, NIWT, TWA, LIEXA, Department of Commerce, Fashion Institute of Technology, Baruch College, National Education Institute, and numerous others. Kelly often works closely with NY District Export Council Member Tom Cook in several of his projects in providing in-depth expertise in several global trade areas in education, training, consulting and overall international trade. Kelly provides one-on-one training for individuals seeking their Customs Brokerage License, typically arranged through their organizations they work for. She is highly recognized as an accomplished lecturer, speaker, and consultant in many areas of the global supply chain. Kelly is a graduate of St Josephs University, BS in Organizational Management and finalizing her Masters in Business Management, there as well.
Kevin P. Daly focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and trade compliance issues. He is a member of Robinson+Cole's Business Litigation Group and Manufacturing Industry Team.

Kevin represents a variety of clients, including manufacturers, insurance companies, and other businesses, in complex litigation. He has represented clients in class actions (including insurance class actions, consumer class actions, and class actions related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act), and product liability actions. He represents businesses in a range of commercial disputes, such as claims for breach of contract and unfair trade practices. Kevin has achieved successes for his clients, including successfully defending a manufacturer in an attachment action which sought to seize property of a third party which had been in the client’s possession.
Trade Compliance / Regulation
Kevin represents clients in connection with a diverse array of trade compliance matters. He advises clients on a variety of trade regulations, including Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and U.S. import regulations. He also assists clients in developing facility and technology control plans to ensure that access to controlled technical data is managed consistent with applicable trade regulations. Additionally, he advises clients regarding Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance and risk assessment and the development of anti-corruption policies and training. Kevin also has experience defending False Claims Act litigation on behalf of companies with financial relationships with the U.S. government. He has experience conducting internal compliance reviews to identify and remedy potential trade compliance violations and strengthen compliance policies and procedures.
Pro Bono
Throughout his career, Kevin has maintained a robust pro bono practice focusing on criminal defense, criminal post-conviction, and civil and human rights matters. He also helped coordinate a pro bono legal clinic on behalf of homeless clients in Massachusetts.
Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Kevin worked for a large global law firm. He represented clients in the pharmaceutical sector in matters alleging violations of the False Claims Act, unfair trade practices, consumer protection statutes, and common law. In addition, he represented financial services clients in the arbitration and litigation of complex commercial disputes.
While in law school, Kevin was a clinical student for the Southern Center for Human Rights and an intern for the ACLU of North Carolina. After graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk for Justice Judith A. Cowin of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
Anthony Sargis is a Senior International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service Middletown, Connecticut. In this capacity, he works with small and medium sized companies to assist them in developing and achieving their export strategies. Tony assists clients with market research, export counseling, trade advocacy, and business matchmaking.
